Nutrilo GmbH was established in Cuxhaven in 1984 as a distributor of minerals and vitamins. Today, Nutrilo, with about 380 employees, is a major global contract manufacturer for a wide range of dietary supplements such as compresses, capsules or powders, and a recognized supplier of vitamins and minerals, either as a single raw material or as customised mixtures (premixes).
In all segments, we are a well recognized supplier worldwide, who can serve the highest demands of the highest quality but also small quantities with predetermined MOQs. Nutrilo is one of the leading suppliers of vitamins and minerals and one of the largest manufacturers of effervescent tablets in Europe. We attribute this leading position to our 380 highly motivated employees, all of which, together with our mission statement, are committed to a high quality, and who actively live and shape this mission statement. Our diverse product range is now marketed in more than 65 countries.
35 years of growth
1984
Nutrilo started off as three-man enterprise trading vitamins and minerals for the food industry
1989
With the construction of own production with warehouse and administration, the basis for the expansion of our portfolio is laid
1990
Customised mixtures based on vitamins, minerals and trace elements gain in importance
1992
With the move to new build facilities, we were able to expand and continuously improve the vitamin-refinement section and the production of customised mineral and vitamin premixes.
1994
Nutrilo started up the production of dietary supplements commissioning the first tablet press
2001
Nutrilo expands the portfolio by lozenges, chewable and swallowing tablets by commissioning a first blisterline
2003
Ongoing growth and market acceptance require a second blister line to expand capacities
2005
Nutrilo already employs about 100 members of staff, for which new area for break rooms is build while the company still continues it´s growth
2006
Commissioning machinery for producing stickpacks to deliver dietary supplements as powder or modern fast-melt
2008
Our new technical centre enable us to produce under cleanroom conditions
2012
Expanding our production facilities for stickpacks and commissioning a coating machinery enables us to fulfill highest requirements for modern products
2017
Nutrilo expands production facilities to produce soft gelatin capsules, completing the portfolio of dietary supplements
2019
With the expansion of the location in Cuxhaven, the course is set for future growth

We essentially produce the portfolio of dietary supplements as subcontractor for food retailers, drugstores and pharmaceutical companies.
Contract manufacturing is a matter of trust and, as such, we are neither able nor do we wish to name customers here.
However, we are able to reveal that our clientèle is extremely diverse and that we supply both to listed global players as well as small niche companies.
All our customers receive the same, consistently excellent quality; the size of the partner makes no difference in terms of the quality of the products delivered.

At home in Cuxhaven
Situated in the far North, right on the edge of the "Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park", Cuxhaven is one the largest tourist resorts in Germany.
Cuxhaven, the hometown of NUTRILO, is located where the Elbe flows into the North Sea and has developed into an important transshipment point for international freight traffic as well as a production site for wind power systems.
The Kiel Canal and the direct connection to Hamburg make the Elbe on this section to one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Cuxhaven is an international traffic cross in an exposed location with cosmopolitan people, natural landscapes and dynamic economic development.
